You're invited! ... well, your dog's invited.

2023 Dates: August 12-August 20
Cost: $3000/dog

Except for the fact that the 8 available bunks fill up early every year, there is just no other reason to miss this amazing opportunity for your dog. We have seen 5 year-old dogs return home after two weeks on the river with maturity and confidence they were unable to obtain from the previous 4 years living in the city (even one as wild and free as Santa Barbara.) Our Doggy Summer Camp is a 10 to 15 day sleep-away camp on our 17 acre family compound located on the bank of the North Umpqua River in Roseburg Oregon. The activities consist of almost constant off leash and free range work and play. Six to eight lucky dogs learn to exist in a real pack, working out their social issues with guided but minimal intervention. They will learn to explore deep, cool water swimming and experience the rush of shooting the rapids. On both banks they will enjoy romping in the shaded woods kicking up wildlife. The river is full of fish, birds crawdads and fetching sticks while the woods are flush with deer, squirrel and a myriad of creepy crawly things. Still, it's not all fun and games. The dogs, like us humans, will learn to follow Gramma's manners around the house and at the dinner table. They wait their turn, come when called and go when they are told to go. There really is just nothing like it outside of living on your own back 40. Call for information or to sign up now. Some spaces are already filled for our 2020 river adventure. [ click here ]

Training Tip: if your dog is looking over your shoulder barking for you to click, don't do it until he stops barking. Otherwise you will be teaching him to bark instead of waiting patiently.
